Need help with custom attributes

Hi, I installed the plugin and everything was perfect.
The problem arises with the custom attributes. When I started using the filter, I had two attributes: size and color. However, and despite the fact that there are products with each of the attributes, when I try to filter products it tells me that they were not found.
In the meantime, I tried creating a new attribute and applying it to a product to test. Using that attribute, the filter does work.
The problem is that it does not work with filters that were already created before I started using the plugin.
What is the reason for this?
