Mobile mode filter is showing on desktop

I'm using the sidebar widget to display the filters with Mobile mode set to Yes. On desktop's initial page load this works as intended - mobile is hidden and sidebar widget is shown. But as I resize the window/change the screen resolution, the mobile filter is displayed and won't go away even if I return the window to full size.
