I made a standard change to a filter in the structure tab and saved.  It reset all my settings on my option tabs to the default, my created smart designer filter is gone, and extensions are no longer checked.  I can no longer check and save any of my extensions, including Smart Designer. Meaning I no longer have a Smart Designer Tab.
