How to grid-set the attribute values for every variation (and how to order them)

Is it possible to use the BEAR bulk editor in grid view to assign attribute values (e.g. Size: S or Size: M or Size: L) to each variation listed? And how?
To explain: When we edit/add/remove the attribute (e.g. Size) values (e.g. S,M,L) in BEAR for a"mother" variable product then none is assigned to any of the existing variations (when you view the variations of the"mother" product they all got set to a default"Any Size..." understandably), but this means that we now have to manually assign each attribute value (e.g. S or M) to each variation listing (I do not see how to easily do this in BEAR).
If there is a way can you please explain how we can do this, if not, is it possible to add this feature? (e.g. I do not see a column for this)
