How to filter by Vendors when using MarketKing

I'm using the Husky product filter alongside MarketKing multi-vendor marketplace and need to be able to filter products in the shop by vendor. My implementation can be found at https://www.hellscapehauntedhouses.com/shop/

MarketKing suggested that filtering by the post_author attribute could work, but that you'd have a better idea of how best to implement this. 

MarketKing uses the"post_author" attribute to set that the vendor is the author of the product - I believe this is the same method other plugins like Dokan or WCFM use.

While MarketKing's suggestion technically would work, I don't believe it's a great implementation and may even prevent me from using a vendor drop down element.

I tried this method - attempted to enable all, and also tried to limit it to"Author" and"Store Manager" options. It doesn't appear to be working as expected. On the frontend, the drop down displays red/error and doesn't actually show any filterable vendors when clicked.

All the shop pages ( https://www.hellscapehauntedhouses.com/shop/ ) use this filter. Just click the off canvas filter button on the lower left of the page.
