as titled, may I have some instructions on how to configure the attributes / categories / tags so that I can create hierarchical drop down filter fields?

the attributes / tags - this is not possible because these taxonomies have no hierarchy

Use the categories or custom taxonomies

Well, I tried to setup product categories with hierarchy. However, I cannot find the"show chain always" option. May I know what settings I should do to add multiple search filters under product categories and show them in hierarchy?
