Hierarchy drop-down filter not working on category page of lowest hierarchy

I am having problems with the hierarchy drop-down filter on website goebeestig.be
Hierarchy filter appears and is correctly applied to the product category pages up to a certain level.
How to reproduce
1. Go to page https://goebeestig.be/webshop/
On this page the filter works fine
2. click in the top menu on webshop > dog
On this category page the filter works fine
3. click in the top menu on webshop > dog > non-food at the top of the menu
On this category page the filter works fine
4. click in the top menu on webshop > dog > non-food > toys
Here the filter does not appear correctly and is not applied.
You can also test this at other hierarchies and each time the lowest level has this problem.
It seems that the filter is only active at the upper hierarchy levels. And every time at the lower level it does not work.
Do you know how I can solve this? Is this a setting?

On the category(taxonomy) page, the filter shows only child categories(taxonomies)
This is a very logical behavior. On the category page, you can show ONLY products that belong to the category OR child category. It makes sense to show only child categories( of the current category ), because clicking on any other category will always give zero products )

When I click on Dog (hond) > Food > Snacks, the currently selected categories are not displayed. The filter just disappears.
And I also don't see the products with child category"Snacks", but all the products in the store.
It seems logical to me that at the bottom level of the category I can also select the products correctly?
It does work on the upper and middle category.
When I go to Dog (hond) > Food, I can select the Snacks child category in the filter manually. This is what needs to happen when I select the category in the menu on top of the website in my opinion.

on a category page you can only select from a child category, that's the whole point of category pages

Configuring a shortcode for each category does not seem to me to be the most scalable solution.

The normal behavior for this shortcode is to always display all products. That's the point - individual product display settings
What do you mean with use the standard archive template? - Woocommerce has a standard product display template: shop and taxonomy page (archive template). Typically, the theme overrides these templates and adds styles to be compatible with the design. And I mean these templates instead of custom template constructors

So for you the best solution seems to be to create a separate shortcode per category?

No. The best solution is to use a standard template if this is not possible: Use the template that the current theme offers, I think this product template should be adapted to the current category.
