Hello,

Using paid version, been working on getting this website set for awhile and can not figure out how to replace the native search form with the text filter. I am using Woocommmerce Homestore theme. I thought I could figure it out but running into problem of what to actually change in the product-searchform.php or if I just need to add the the functions.php?

Thank You

It is the default search bar in the top right as part of the theme I want to change.

Thanks

Hello

it looks like in your theme it's a widget - https://c2n.me/4gfmtYj.jpg

Try to find it in the widget settings and use the shortcode -  https://products-filter.com/shortcode/woof_text_filter -  to display the filter

If  no luck  drop me wp-admin access - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130558.png ->https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130637.png

I checked into the Widgets but it does not allow me to that section. I have attached the wp-admin access.

Hello

Try in storefront theme - inc/woocommerce/storefront-woocommerce-template-functions.php - delete this code - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20220802200348.png and paste:  echo do_shortcode('[woof_text_filter]');

Ok tried this and it worked except now my cart will not work. I tried changing the code back but still get an error

"There has been a critical error on this website.

at https://foothillvacuum.com/checkout/

Not sure if this caused another issue or bad coincidence? When I searched the problem it says this error is usually because the theme so I am restoring now to previous point before changes. Any insight would be great.

Problem was PHP updated on the server breaking checkout, but the problem of the menu bar not working is caused by the search change. Menu shows but does not work.

Hello

Please  drop me  FTP access - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130558.png ->https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130637.png

Do you mean when you change the code - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20220802200348.png - this menu stops working - https://c2n.me/4gqrkMW.jpg

no it is the top menu that is near the search. I do not have a way top give you ftp right now but i will check if you need that. I couldn't leave it like that and I am on a time crunch so hopefully our timing works out, i am crossing my fingers I can get you what you need to help me with this, it is HUGE for this site.

Hello

to investigate this I need FTP access. I'm waiting for this data

OK FTP added. Hoped it was an easy fix but let me know what you find, other than the menu not working, it was looking and working great.
