Form do not resets when going back via broser

Hello.
We are using the plugin to show a hierarchical drop-down search on our main page with 4 levels of categories. The plugin works correctly and shows correct results, but we have the following issues:
- If we have paginated results, and we go to page 2 or 3 (or whatever), if we click the back button on the browser, we are not taken back to the previous page, but instead to the home page where the search form is located
- When going back to the first page, the form is not reset i.e. the first option remains selected (to whatever we've selected previously), but the second dropdown is inactive. Thus we have two choices, either we first select some other category and then go back to the one we wanted OR we have to refresh the page.
Is there a way to fix this? While the problem pointed out in p.1 we can live it, we'd like to fix the reset issue when going back.

the problem is that after clicking this button, the browser sends a copy of the page from memory. For this reason, ALL forms will have the previous selection
