Filters closes after selecting category

Hello so I have added filters to my site using a widget. However when I select a category the page refreshes and the filters closes, so I cannot see which category I am currently browsing. I will add screenshots. How can I make it so that it will always show the active category? Thanks

Now it opens all the child categories. When I select for example BMW->3-Series->Downpipes it will open both 4 and 5 series and display all categories in those as well

It happens only on Safari. We can ignore it for now because I have another issue. I currently have two filters, one for car brand and one for category. I don't want the user to be able to select both, it should be either category or car brand->model->category. Is this possible?
Unfortunately, the plugin does not have such a feature, in this case you need to customize the code
