Hello-

We have products organized with a parent category and multiple subcategories.  If you 'check' the parent category, all items including those in the subcategories are shown however, the subcategories are not 'checked' which is confusing.  Also, adding a check to any of these subcategories makes no difference when the parent category is selected.

We'd like things to work as follows: When someone checks/selects a parent category, all its subcategories are also checked/selected.  Then if someone deselects a subcategory, those subcategory's items will be excluded from the results.

 

Is this possible?

The plugin does not have such a feature.  You need customization of the plugin code

Also, adding a check to any of these subcategories makes no difference when the parent category is selected. - Some products (for some users) may have only a child category. It also makes sense if the comparison logic is AND
