filter works until product page - filter fails to reset - clicking away twice finally resets.

Just installed woof, using wp ocean theme (tried on storefront too).

I have product categories (containing products) as drop down menu (tried radio as well), this works fine so long as no product is actually selected.

If product selected the product page is displayed - BUT -

If I want to try another search the drop down now fails to deliver the new filter

Instead it show the same product in a results page with the new filter listed above with the red cross.

If I go back and select another category for the drop down it works again.

Interestingly the breadcrumb fails to show the category, it shows just the product name

Any ideas
