Filter-search not working with special characters (ÆØÅ)

Searching for special letters like ØÆÅ within the filter-search; removes the special letters, before searching for them, and returns wrong string back to the search-input.
If i search for"Læs let" it searched for"Ls let" and the search-input also only displays"Ls let" (removing the æ)
UPDATE: This only happens if the SEO URL Request is set to ENABLED/ON.
