filter on weight only shows simple products, even when variations is active

I only need all variations that are above 35kg. It only shows me simple products only when i filter on weight. Variables (parent products do not have weight of course, as it is not a product by itself).
In my case there are boxing bags as a variable product with variations:
variation a: weight 20
variation b: weight 25
variation c: weight 40
I need to filter to show simple products and the variations that are above 35

Unfortunately, according to the logic of the database structure, variable products are not products, and the parent is a product.
I will pass this to the developers and they will check it out.
hope to hear from you. Because logic is that simple products and variations of a variable product are products. And a variable product is not of course.
