Disable Pop-out Search Icon & Styling Question

#1) How do we disable the pop-up search functionality and icon? We don't want to use this. See screenshot
#2) You are using a bunch of odd colors by default. Is there one central place within the plugin settings to set a default color so we aren't having to write a tone of CSS just to remove your colors? See screenshot

Thank you for #1.
For #2, I recommend that you remove all colors (use only Greyscale) from your styling so we don't have to do so much CSS just to get rid of colors that do not belong. It doesn't make any sense.
