Let's say I have 5 product categories (cat1, cat2, cat3, cat4, cat5). I'm trying to achieve the following on the archive pages:
On Cat1 through Cat3 I want to filter by Tags only (not showing cat filters)
On Cat4 & Cat5 I want to filter by their Sub Categories only (not showing tag filters)
I'm thinking on using shortcodes with conditionals based on category displayed, but I can't figure out the shortcode syntax on how to display only cat or tag filter.
Need some help to figure out how can I achieve this.

With combination of the shortcode conditional display by Jetpack and with your help, I managed to set two Widgets, each with the correct shortcode and conditions. It works!

Some additional help please. While the mechanism is working, I have an issue that I don't want the unchecked filters to disappear after filtering. I found out that Disable swoof influence (kinda) helps on the pages I have category filtering, but doesn't work on the pages with tag-only filtering. Enabling does the opposite... really puzzling

Doing that, shows the whole shop product tree and not just the root category tree that I'm currently in. It's a really strange behavior
