I purchased Woof Products FIlter Pro and have downloaded and installed the plugin.
I purchased this plugin so I could have feature to show the Colours in the FILTER (actual colours not just the square box) so I was told I had to purchase the Pro for this.
I cannot see WHERE to enable that feature as it is STILL not showing the colours in the Filter area.
Please email me back with solution on HOW to get this working .
Thanks
Kristin

My next question is with regards to showing Categories ... I have ticked the "Show Categories" but they are NOT showing on the Widget sidebar (everything else colour, $$ slider, sizing etc) is showing but for some reason NOT the categories. How and where can I fix this ?
Thanks

Quote from ScandiWebDesign on August 19, 2021, 04:34Also the other question I had, client sells Tshirts & Hoodies for men and women. Men have sizing S, M, L, XL< XXL etc . Women have sizing 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 etc
When Filtering on Widget sidebar, if customer clicks on Tshirt Category & Mens (when I can see it) and Colours, then I would hope that ONLY the Product Sizing for MEN only shows .. and NOT the women sizing also.
How can I fix this, so if customer clicks on TShirt Category then both men and women sizing shows, BUT when they click on TShirt & MENS, then ONLY Mens Sizing show .. I was told that your filter should be able to do this but I don't know how to do that. Obviously we don't want womens sizing 10,12, 14 sitting there as option AS WELL as Mens S, M, L, XL that is confusing for the customer
Thanks

Quote from ScandiWebDesign on August 27, 2021, 06:24Hi, I have added in the license code here now
Site is not yet live currently constructing website for client but need the FILTER PLUGIN to work properly...
So in Summary:
I have Category Men & Women
Main Category Men - TShirt , Tracksuit pants etc
Main Category Women - Tshirt, Shorts, etc
Main Category TShirt also so it displays ALL Tshirts, then I can filter between men and women with tags also separately
Main Category Hoodies
So currently my issues are:
- Filtering - when clicking on Hoodies on right sidebar FILTER, it should AUTO filter and show ALL Hoodies ONLY
- Currently not auto filtering
- I shouldn't have to click on ""FILTER" button usually when I initially tested
- I should be able to click on filter "TShirts" under "MEN" and show only men tshirts - It says loading, but then doesn't just show the mens ..
- Then if I click on "BLUE COLOUR" then it should show me ALL Tshirts under Men that are blue ..
- Maybe something has changed I don't think so.
I did recently change my Product Category Permalinks from product-category/ to collections/ but I don't think that should have made a difference at all.
So I really need some urgent help please in getting it working properly.
Also where do I add the license code on the backend of plugin as I can't see that ?
Thanks

I need showing on ALL Pages really ... It shows ALl of them on SHOP Page but I need them all to show on ALL Category pages .. - This is a very logical behavior. On the category page, you can show ONLY products that belong to the category OR child category. It makes sense to show only child categories( of the current category ), because clicking on any other category will always give zero products )

Quote from ScandiWebDesign on August 27, 2021, 15:01So, if people want to go back to another Category when they are in Child Category as you say, and it is not displaying on the Sidebar, how do they get to it ?
Rather than just clicking on the Top Menu, they should be able to get to another Category from the Sidebar ?
Eg. If you are in the Mens / Tshirts and currently looking at Tshirts, then want to go look at Womens/ Tracksuit Pants, and if you can't see the other Categories to go to them, how can the customer get to it if not displayed on the Siderbar ?
Thanks

Quote from ScandiWebDesign on August 29, 2021, 04:47Hi, also back with regards to the Colours Filter. Client has different colours for different types of products . Your filter in the settings when setting up , allows me to choose Product Colours, but if I have different colours available for Hoodies, and different colours for TShirts (not the same colours), then how can I achieve having this displayed correctly on the Filters area (depending on product chosen) ? Currently in the Product Colours in your settings, and I click "toggle colour terms" and then I have to manually add in the colours and name etc. How can I add more options for another lot of colours for other products ?
It is a bit confusing on how I can achieve this ?
How long does support usually take to respond to questions out of curiosity ? I have a meeting with the client in a few days, and still having issues with the setting up correctly of plugin.
Thanks

Please try to vatch this video - https://products-filter.com/video#beGT6p_look - It will save you tons of time
So, if people want to go back to another Category when they are in Child Category as you say, and it is not displaying on the Sidebar, how do they get to it ? - there is a huge difference between filter and menu( The filter searches for products, the menu redirects the user to another page ) . My plugin is a filter, but you need menu functionality so please use this widget - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210830132459.png
Also currently my Filters are displaying on the top under the main menu - check option - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210830132647.png
back with regards to the Colours Filter. -As I wrote above, this is a filter, it cannot change/manipulate product data. The filter searches for the finished product data. If you use taxonomies (category, tags, attributes and, in principle, it doesn't matter what it's called: color, size, .....) The plugin will automatically add this to the structure tab. for each taxonomy, you can select the type of filter (how it will be displayed on the frontend) - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210830133901.png Now closer to your problem: If you use different taxonomies (attributes) for these colors. An example: Color TShirts and Hoodies color in this case they are just two different taxonomies and in machine logic it is the same as size and category or tag and color. To show only relevant taxonomies in the current search query - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210830134617.png an example - on the Hoodies category page you will see only Hoodies color and sizes that only hoodies have

Quote from ScandiWebDesign on August 30, 2021, 15:36Thanks for replying. I have now added the Categories separately. Then your Filter underneath. So I test it choosing WOMEN for Category to show all Womens clothing products. Then I choose FILTER "Blue Colour" as I want it to show all all Women's blue clothes. When I choose Blue Colour, it shows all Blue colour for All Categories not just Womens.
I am guessing because we are just using the Categories (as you suggested) but then that is not part of the filter.
Am I doing something wrong ?
My TShirts , hoodies etc are Variable Products (not tags) FYI. With Colour as Attributes/Variations.
So with regards to the COLOUR I have to manually add in the colour swatch in your Settings to show the colour on Filters. The filters for Colour work, but my question is if we have only certain colours for certain Products, then do I have to manually add them (the filter will not automatically pickup the colours) that are in Variable/Attribute products ? It is time consuming to add in manually all colours, across multiple product categories that have different colours.
Is there another workaround ?
Also with regards to the Colour Swatches, are all the colours from ALL products just joined together in the Colour Swatches in the sidebar Filter ?
Thanks
Kristin

When I choose Blue Colour, it shows all Blue colour for All Categories not just Womens. - It doesn't have to work that way. Can you drop me exact link to the issue? it looks like a conflict with the current theme
If you mean this choice of color - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210831113734.png - for each color attribute you should choose a color code. There is no other way
Also with regards to the Colour Swatches, are all the colours from ALL products just joined together in the Colour Swatches in the sidebar Filter ? - As I wrote in the previous post, it doesn't matter what you named the attribute(color, size, material, ...) If it is one attribute, the filter will show these elements together. just like any taxonomy (category, tags)
If you add the link to your site and wp-admin access - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130558.png -> https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130637.png - I can better understand your problem
