Hello and Happy New Year!

I am just getting started with your plug-in, thank you for creating it!

I am unable to change variation titles for child variations.

I am able to change the parent title, however as many of the variations have different prices, and we list the price of each variation in the drop down menu for customers to choose, when updating prices we need to also reflect this change in the child / variation title.

I see where you can bulk edit the variation titles using the filters, but I'm not sure how to make this work when each variation may have a different price.

I tried to make these changes under the content tab, however only the parent product has any text to change.

One other way I thought to accomplish this might be to change the pricing in the attributes, as that's where I believe each drop down option price is originally listed, but it doesn't give me this option.

Please see screenshots:

#1 Shows parent product # 14021, followed by subsequent child variations where pricing needs to be changed. I can select and edit the parent title (#14021) but not the child / variations.

#2 Shows open content box for variation #16154 / 2807004, but no content to edit. There is title text at the top, but it is not selectable to change.

#3 Shows where attributes are not available to change

#4 Shows the attributes on the products edit page. But to do it this way, needing to open each product one by one, negates some of the usefulness of the product editor.

Thank you in advance for you help!

Jeremy

Hello Jeremy

The problem is that a variable product has no title at all.

The user selects variation using a set of attributes

Hello Pablo,

Thank you for the response.

I believe you are instructing me that I cannot edit variables at all, only attributes, and since my example product attributes are text, they can’t be edited either. Is this correct?

Please see screenshot 2 is example product attribute in WP/WC internal editor

One other question; I think I understand the basic title filtering options (advanced syntax options are above my pay grade however ;), but I am having an issue with basic filtering.

I type in Rekluse KTM under with the filter set to “like”, however I only receive 2 results out of more that are possible. What am I omitting?

Please screenshot 3 & 4 for reference.

Screenshot 3 shows only 2 results when filtered,

Screenshot 4 shows at least 6 products on our website with both Rekluse & KTM in the title that I expected to result in the filter

I know this must be my mistake as I purchased the Pro version with all the features, so I thank you for your patience with my ignorance, and for your advisement.

(I probably should have mentioned, I am a bit ignorant to these operations, I run a motorcycle shop, work on moto’s, am not a developer, know 0 code, and am trying to learn how to manage what I can in our web shop from what our last developer set up).

Cheers,

Jeremy

I believe you are instructing me that I cannot edit variables at all, - No, I want to tell you that it is impossible to edit what does not exist.

since my example product attributes are text, they can’t be edited either. Is this correct? - Yes  - https://bulk-editor.com/manipulations-with-variable-products-and-their-variations

About  search: Please  try  Rekluse^~KTM

Read  this  - https://bulk-editor.com/document/filters

Hi Pablo,

Thank you for your help,

I did read through the bulk editor doc., however I had completely missed the ^~ command.

So, again thanks for the redundant hand holding, pointing me back to the document, and specifically pointing out the "About  search: Please  try  Rekluse^~KTM".

As mentioned, not the normal world I work in so the rudimentary help you provided is huge for me.

License key pasted, let me know if you don't receive.

Cheers,

Jeremy
