Changing Filters Causes 404 errors when it needs to change page

When changing from a page with say 47 products, navigating to the 3rd page and then changing the filters to a filter that only has 10 or so products it causes a 404 error as the page doesn’t automatically update back to page 1 and instead tries to show page 3 of a filter that only has one page.
I have looked over the forums and this has supposedly been fixed, I am running the latest version and I am still receiving the errors.
Please follow these steps to recreate the error message:
1. go to https://froxx.co.uk/shop
2. use the filters on the right-hand side to select the “blacks/greys” option
3. move to the 3rd page of clothing results
4. Change the colour filter to green
5. 404 error will occur
Preferably, we would like the customer to be navigated to the 1st result page for any given filter when they select the new filter option.
