Category pages to display only sub categories

Hi there. I am currently evaluating your plugin to see if it will provide the functionality needed for my web project. Within shop category pages I have set up the filter at the top of the page on product category pages. I would like to only show sub categories of the current category page in the filter options.
E.g.
On top-level category page"Tablets", Filter options shown will be"A","B","C", which are sub categories of"Tablets".
NO other top level Category or Sub-category of a different category would be shown.
I cannot ascertain from the documentation if this is possible? Please let me know.
