I know it is possible to work with labels, but is the following also be possible, see for example: https://www.kidsdeco.nl/babykamer/inrichting/behang/
The filter first starts with the category hierarchy , and below that starts the actual filtering. It is important that the parent remains open when filtering for a child

I can use the widget, or put a category list above the filter myself, that's not the problem.
But I would like to see that when I select (for example) a brand, the categories to which this brand is linked automatically remain. The same for some product attributes such as size or color.
The category option within your filter works exactly like this, only these are checkboxes or radio buttons. As mentioned I can use labels, but they only show the main categories, not the child items.

Hello
I'm not sure if I understood you correctly
labels only work with parent taxonomies
