Cart does not update

The cart in the header does not update when items are added. We have turned off all caching and nothing happens. Please can you advise on what the problem is and the solution. We are using storefront theme. We are using the free version to test and make sure it works.

I'm looking for support for plugin Fox Currency Convertor. The problem is when Fox Currency convertor is active it doesn't update the cart. It flashes the price and then goes to $0 in the cart.
