Hi,

I'm trying to plan my car parts website but I need help.

I have a bunch of makes, models, years and engine that I need to put in and it seems like a HUGE task.

I create a hierarchy taxonomy with CPT UI called"car"

This is how it looks like:

  • 2011
    • Audi
      • A4
        • 2.0L
      • A3
        • 1.8T
    • BMW
      • 335xi
        • 3.0
  • 2012
    • Audi
      • A4
        • 2.0L

As you can see, I have a lot of repeats everywhere because each year will have A4 or 335xi as a model.

How can I efficiently do this? Do you have any recommendations on how to do this kind of setup?

Thanks in advance,

Hello

Please paste your license key here - https://c2n.me/43SC6rb.png -> https://c2n.me/42HBIt7.png

In this  case  better  use "makes, models, years and engine" in that order

Audi

A4

2012

  • 2.0L

BMW

In this case, you will need to create fewer terms.

Hi Pablo,

Would it be possible to have the search configured like this:

Main hierarchy Make/Model/Year/Engine dropdowns on the side bar.

Taxonomy for Audi

Taxonomy for BMW

Taxonomy for 335xi

Taxonomy for A4

Taxonomy for 2011

Taxonomy for N55 3.0L

Taxonomy for 3.0L Supercharged

Depending on what the client will choose, the dropdowns would be shown for that particular taxonomie. I wouldn't have to repeat a bunch of same motors.

I don't know if i'm explaining this correctly.

The search would assemble all data together.

Thanks!

Hello

I'm not sure if this is possible

You  can  try  this extension - https://products-filter.com/extencion/conditionals/

And  use individual  taxonomy(attribute)  for Make,  Models, Year, Engine
