Can't update settings in 'Options'

Hello again. I'm sure you're aware of this, but I have the same issues as mentioned in a different user's ticket:
#2. Hide"Empy Terms" and"Count"
We want to put"Yes" for"Hide empty terms" and not see empty categories that have no products (since we will add a few empty categories at the beginning to be on the site, so the client will later insert their products so that it is very important for us to be hidden). But when we put that"Yes" above, the two fields"Show count" and"Dynamic recount" automatically change and they are set to"Yes", and we want it to remain at"No".
In essence, we want to hide empty categories and hide the count number for the categories and how many products they contain (to be empty there all). How can we do that, since whatever we put in one field, the other 3 fields are following (if we put"Yes" somewhere, it will be"Yes" everywhere in these 3 fields, if we put"No", everywhere it will be"No", why is that and what is the solution? - image below).
You mentioned in another thread changing null to"" in the index.php. I did this but it still doesn't work.

You cannot save such a set of settings because it is protection against incorrect settings.
