Bulk editing attribute visibility not working

As the title suggests, when I run a attribute visibility bulk edit it doesn't change any of the products' attribute visibility. It just retrieves a (green) Undefined message after completion of the bulk edit. After checking product pages and clearing cache the attributes I've removed visibility from are still visible.

What plugin version number are you using?
Do you do this operation for simple or variable products?
When I tried it was with a old build, then I updated to 8.10 and the issue still persists. All simple products.
