Behaviour of Radio vs Checkbox

Fantastic pugin by the way...
Currently I use the Product Categories filter with Radio buttons as style and appreciate the way it clears the last visited filter if you select another one.
However, unselect is done by hitting the little red dot called"delete.png" and I wonder if that can be made easier by just selecting the active radio button or the text.
It would eliminate having the red dot so to speak.
Further it is a little strange that this behavior doesn't occur in the Checkboxes

Unfortunately, the plugin does not have such a feature, it is related to the radio button

Thank you for your clarification.
I noticed that the red dot image 'delete.png' is hardcoded in your index.php.
Do you know a way to replace the 'delete.png' with another image (in my own media lib) without modifying the core? so with an option or php code (functions.php) or css in my child theme?
