Active/Inactive filter terms

Hello.
In the plugin settings there is a option for hiding the empty terms. But is there some way to just make empty terms inactive (but still visible) and not hidden?
If there is some hook so I do not touch plugin files and lose changes after update.

This way the terms count is visible and we do not need that.
Is there a way to hide it via the options in order not to hide it with js?
