On my site, when you select"on sale" and then click on any parent product category it shows perfectly all on sale items that are in that parent category. On the sidebar it also changes from showing all parent categories to showing on the child categories of whatever parent category I selected. But, if I clear the filter for the parent category and leave on sale still checked the page refeshes and shows all products that are on sale like it should except that in the sidebar it still only shows the child categories of the parent category I initailly filtered by.

So for example on my site specifically -

Filter by on sale products

filter on sale products that are only in cbd inhalation category

(Now it shows only cbd inhalation items that are on sale and on sidebar the categories show are only the child categories of cbd inhalation)

Clear the filter for cbd inhalation

Now all on sale products show from any category but on the sidebar it only shows the child categories of cbd inhalation even though I cleared that filter

massapothecary.com/cbd-store

Please note that I use WP Rocket for caching and even when caching isn't active the problem persists.

Hello

Please  check  in  Advanced->Options - https://c2n.me/4hAPSRr.png

Do you use  this  plugin -  https://wordpress.org/plugins/perfect-woocommerce-brands/

I will check that setting as soon ax I get to the office.

Yes we use Perfect Brands for WooCommerce

Why did you ask if I use https://wordpress.org/plugins/perfect-woocommerce-brands/ ?

hello

Why did you ask if I use https://wordpress.org/plugins/perfect-woocommerce-brands/ ?  - because this 3rd party plugin is causing a conflict(hide taxonomies after filtering)

To  test  - Please  disable Perfect WooCommerce Brands  and  check   in  Advanced->Options - https://c2n.me/4hAPSRr.png

Oh OK. I turned the advanced setting off and it works fine now.

Is there a brands plugin that works better with Woof if Perfect Woo Brands doesn't?

Hello

I recommend you use standard attributes to create brands
