Quote from kathrynmichaud on June 9, 2022, 11:04Hi, on this website: http://littlefoxwebdesigncreative.co.uk/cosmeticcompanyoutlet/shop/ in the Woof Product Filter I have set up the Product Categories. However, I need to show the category 'Brand' on it's own. I can exclude the Brand category from the Product Categories but I don't seem to be able to duplicate Product Categories so that I can add just the Brand Category. Then I thought I could create Brand as an attribute to display it separately which I did, but I can't set it to toggle as with attributes it shows as a long list instead of closed by default. Could you tell me how I can do this please?
Secondly, on this page, for example, http://littlefoxwebdesigncreative.co.uk/cosmeticcompanyoutlet/product-category/mens/ I still want to see all categories but it's only showing the sub-categories for the Mens category. How can I display all categories?
Finally, I have added the In Stock checkbox - is it possible to add a title for that?
Thank you!
Kathryn

Unfortunately, the plugin cannot split the category into multiple filters. You should use attributes.
And try to use these options - https://c2n.me/4fSyMFX.png
How can I display all categories? - No! On the category page, the filter shows only child categories. This is a very logical behavior. On the category page, you can show ONLY products that belong to the category OR child category. It makes sense to show only child categories( of the current category ), because clicking on any other category will always give zero products )
is it possible to add a title for that? - Unfortunately no

Quote from kathrynmichaud on June 9, 2022, 20:23Hi, thanks so much for your reply. The only one I'm still not sure about is about display all categories. I have found that if I use the Woof Product Filter in the sidebar to navigate then all categories appear at all times - on the Shop page, Category pages and individual product pages which is great. However, if I use the main navigation at the top of the page then when I go to a Category page such as http://littlefoxwebdesigncreative.co.uk/cosmeticcompanyoutlet/product-category/skincare/ then it only shows the sub-categories for that category. And if I click on a sub-category of Skincare, for example: http://littlefoxwebdesigncreative.co.uk/cosmeticcompanyoutlet/product-category/skincare/lip-skincare/ then it doesn't show any of the categories at all! Why do all categories show on all pages when I navigate via the Woof filters but if I try to go to the same page via the main menu it doesn't show all categories?
Thank you!
Kathryn

Please note that filtering products and navigating through different pages is a completely different functionality.
If you have done a search by category you can always reset your current search or filter by another category
But if you are on the category page, in order to remove the current category you need to go to another page. Therefore, there are restrictions for filtering on the category page. It is not possible to display products from other categories (except child categories) on the category page

Quote from kathrynmichaud on June 10, 2022, 18:12Hi, I do understand all that - the product filter is working perfectly when I navigate through it. I don't want to display products from other categories when I'm viewing another category page - I understand that I'll need to select a different category. The problem is that if I use the main menu at the top of the page and, for example, navigate to Shop - Skincare - Eyes - no product filters display at all in the sidebar!
I need to know how to show the product filters there as well. I can send screenshots if that helps.
Thanks.

If this category has no children - then the filter cannot show anything, it makes no sense
Please drop me exact link to the issue

Quote from kathrynmichaud on June 13, 2022, 12:04Hi, thanks for getting back to me. So if you visit the website here: http://littlefoxwebdesigncreative.co.uk/cosmeticcompanyoutlet/ and then click on Shop in the main menu. You can see the Products Filter in the left-hand sidebar. Main and sub-categories are shown.
If you click on, for example, Brands or Brands - Art Deco - then it takes you to the relevant page and again, you can see the Products Filter showing the categories and sub-categories making navigation easy. This is all great.
However, this is the problem. If you go back up to Shop on the main menu and let the mega menu expand to reveal the categories/sub-categories and then click on, for example, Brands, again, then this time, I can only see the Brand sub-categories in the Product Filter instead of all of the categories/sub-categories.
So basically if I go to Shop in the main menu and then use the Woof Product Filter in the left-hand sidebar then all of the pages show a list of all categories/sub-categories at all times - great. But if I go to Shop in the main menu at the top of the page and use the mega menu to navigate to the same page, then the Woof Product Filter in the left-hand sidebar only shows the categories/sub-categories for the category that I'm on.
If you could try both ways then hopefully you'll see the different in the left-hand sidebar. I can send screenshots of what I mean if you let me know the best way to send it to you.
Thank you!
