Display relevant filter-items does not work within category lists

I would like to set up the category list pages so that only relevant filter values appear in the dropdown filters, and the number of results within the category should be displayed in brackets after the options.
There are no rings made with peridot stones, I don't want to display this:
When I use the filter shortcode with a category specified, the price filter works correctly (only allows filtering within the selected category), but and all other filters disappear:

What could be the reason for this? How can I make the other filters appear as well? Thank you!
